Thankfully I have watched videos on YouTube before. Today they wouldn't play or jumped all around so i guess that's one of the negatives of technology and speed. On previous occasions i have watched videos of music clips i hadn't previously seen of my favourite artists. The benefits for this in reaching people and showing them what you are up to is amazing.
Benefits to libraries or incorporating this sort of technology into websites can include a tour of the library layout and whats on offer, doco's of book launches, guest speakers, I guess the uses are only limited in how you plan to present the activities...
I guess another downside is that your privacy or anonymity is left wide open if people use their phones to film things without your knowledge and throwing them onto YouTube for the greater viewing...
